Looks like a lovely car. Just wondering if there was any record of suspension bits being refreshed? Anything like dampers or suspension arms been done in it's life?

Thanks

Hi, I am not aware of any work done in the past. It certainly hasn’t been updated or messed with and nothing has ever been flagged towards them. If you see the comprehensive prep video that was taken 3 years ago ahead of my ownership and nothing was highlighted then or since and drives as good as it’s always. Hope that helps

I was wondering if you’d had a bore score check done since you bought it?

Also, would you be happy for the winning bidder to get one done before taking the car away?

Thanks

Hi, it’s never had one done and never had a need to. No symptoms, 4 careful owners and regular service. Oil is as clear as it was the day after a service 3k miles later. You can worry about lots of things in life or not…I didn’t even know what bore score was when I bought it. Successful bidder takes the same ‘risk’ I did and the previous owner did when they bought it which isn’t a ‘risk’ at all with this car. So please don’t bid if you want to subject the win to a bore scope condition. Thanks

Just to clarify, I have no concerns what so ever regarding anything mechanical about this car hence why it’s never had a bore score test. It is such a good example that I really am reluctant to let it go but after having the honour of drive through Europe and alpine passes and the autobahn with my 25 year old son who has a 987 I simply can not top that experience in ownership. I hope it goes to someone who will do the car justice and take it on many future adventures…..of which it is capable of with continued service and care keeping in mind its 20+ years old.

Fwiw I bought a hide of original metropole blue Porsche supplier leather to do the centre console as I had seen a 996 that had it done on a wheeler dealers episode but time just went by but it would make a nice project for anyone to take the leather for a specialist to do, leather comes with the car.

Morning , what a beauty . Under your ownership has it been garaged or left outside and whether you know the case with previous owners ? Also , respectfully , may I ask why you're selling it ? Many thanks .

Hi, it has been garaged all its life as far as I am aware, certainly owner 2, 3 and myself, previous owner had a timber barn, in my ownership it has always been garaged in a brick barn. Since I moved home in August this year it has been garaged in a wooden garage. I am selling because I bought it for a European road trip and bit of fun. The trip got delayed due to health issues but did it this year and having downsized and moved, whilst I have somewhere for it I can’t top the trip I did with my son in his 987 and so had to choose between keeping my defender station wagon or the 911 both make me smile when I drive them and the Landy won. It is a lovely example and drives superb, reluctant to let it go it cost me £25k for the opportunity to drive it but can’t keep everything forever and hope it goes to.
