2002 Renault Clio V6 (Phase 1)
Discussion
Nice
Shame about the stickers
Knew someone who worked as a chassis engineer at TWR when they designed this. It will probably have the steering knuckles on the rear struts that flex on heavy loads and impart some 'interesting' rear wheel steering just when you dont want it
Another car I should have bought when they were cheap enough.

I think we all have a long list of cars we should have bought and not sold ! lol
From speaking with the seller it would not be too big a process to remove them, as it is a wrap, as opposed to individual stickers.
Best wishes Dave

On picture 166, is that a bill for body panels? If so, what happened there?
Additionally, what was the condition of the paintwork like before the wrap when on? Did they have to sand or fill any areas?
Cool car in any event, Cheers J.

Its Dave from PistonHeads just replying on the sellers behalf. The seller is unaware of the reason for the body panel as it predates his ownership of the car, equally with regards to the body condition prior to the wrap. He has said upon close inspection of the car everything presents extremely well indeed.
Best wishes
Dave

The grey is the wrap and all decals are individual and applied over the wrap / paintwork.I think we all have a long list of cars we should have bought and not sold ! lol

The front D panel isn't an external body panel.Additionally, what was the condition of the paintwork like before the wrap when on? Did they have to sand or fill any areas?

It's the front part of the inner wheel arch protector. When I got the car it has been partly worn away which Scott@SGM alluded to it probably having had incorrectly sized tyres fitted at some point.

I sold it iro 5 years or so ago.
Car has been for sale at Total Headturners for a while now so maybe they've put it up for auction.

I had one of these and it was featured in the Long Termer's section of EVO for a while.
Handling was okish until you reached the limit at which point it was ‘challenging’. It wasn’t as fast as it looked - only a tad faster round one of Bedford Autodrome circuits than the Clio Trophy of that era but I loved it dearly. Another ‘wish I’d kept it’ car!
