Hi, do you have more details of the footwell repair, date and by whom invoice? Can’t see it in the paperwork. Also from ownership in 2013 until 2026 only 3 or 4 services done, is that correct? Does the A/C blow cold? Thanks

Hi, the footwell repair is a couple of repair patches that came from Aston, one of the hard things I had to do was find a welder who was willing to do it. Most I found one locally who also did the fibreglass and paint on the front right wing, he did a stunning job of both and ripped the carpet! I have a receipt for it, it is not an impressive thing to look at. If the car doesn't make reserve then I'll look to get an upholsterer to sort it.

During the period from 2013 - 2018 most of the general servicing that took place was a local mechanic to my Dad who had experience with DB7s but didn't stamp the book.
Servicing during covid was a real challenge, I had a friend who was a really great mechanic take care of it for me during this period but very sadly he passed away very suddenly and I was stuck until I found the very wonderful Martin's Astons in Kilsyth who have been brilliant since then. He did not stamp the book, but the receipts back it up - no stamps in the book because they weren't Aston guys until Martin's Astons. To be fair, the independent guys have all been superb mechanics. On a car like this, Aston Martin garages are not the place to go but an experienced, competent and independent specialist.

The AC was serviced with new gas a few years ago and does indeed still blow properly cold.

I’m afraid I don’t. Certainly not in my ownership. it’s not missing and doesn’t feel down on power.

I’ve just checked the services and the plugs were swapped at 46297 miles in 2013, following the service schedule would put not quite another 30,000 miles. The buyer may want to have it done sooner but as of right now it’s smooth.

Dan. Photos 6 to 12, the rear panels look a few shades lighter in colour to boot, especially around the rear lights. I’ve studied some photos of other Steel Blue cars and I see a better finish on them. Can you advise on this? Thanks

I suspect that’s partly reflection and partly detailing that makes it look a lighter shade.
They have not been resprayed but I’ve had it detailed and covered in a high end sealant which may explain the effect as the boot and bumper will have had a higher gloss finish.
For genuinely serious buyers I can send some more photos in different light.

I've had a look, the trim around the brake lights does look a bit lighter in the sun. It's nowhere near as obvious in the garage. I can't really explain why it's like that as they have not been sprayed so it's original. I know there are some materials that take spray differently and I imagine other similarly coloured cars should be similar but I don't have any frame of reference and can't explain it.

Again, for serious parties I'll provide more photos if needed.
