I note that the car failed it’s first MOT in December 2025 due to “Emissions unable to be completed getting too hot (8.2.1.2 (d))”
Was their a fault with the cooling system and if so what was done to rectify it.
Thanks

Hi, noticed that the odometer shows 8,277, MOT history goes from 8,989 (2024) to 6183 then 8183 in 2025 (which is the typo, except the mileage has still reduced), with a serviced carried out at 9,010 in 2024. Any additional service history with the vehicle to possible identify whats happening with this issue?

The mileage from the past two MOT's was written down in KM rather than M, the numbers on the dash are so small the 6 looks like an 8, Sevens & cassics have looked after the car for several years before my ownership, please feel free to souble check with them.

Would the MOT mileage discrepancy be able to be sorted out potentially before sale?

I'll look through the paperwork and speak to DVLA as unsure how you would do this now.

Pistonheads will help smccall007 with the MOT mileage discrepancy. Its a case of writing to the DVSA to ask them to amend using documented evidence that its a human error.

This can be actioned but as we all know this might take a little longer than a couple of days... the last one was 3- 4 weeks from our experience.

I hope this helps and should not put anyone of bidding for the car as it is an easy resolution.

Good luck with your bidding everyone

I always wondered with these - with the lack of side windows does it get uncomfortably windy?

You don't get too much buffeting due to the targa, don't get me wrong you know that you don't have windows but it's ok on a journey.
