Hi All,

I am in he process of rebuilding my Fisher Fury which includes the need to replace the existing single hoop roll bar as I want to be able to carry passengers on the road knowing that they are protected by the cage, should we roll over!

I had asked Fisher Sportscars to manufacture a rollbar that meets the requirement, but 6 weeks on they have not started work as they cant get anyone to bend the metal.

So, I have a few questions:

1) Does anyone have a Fisher Fury rollbar that protects both driver and passenger that they are looking to get rid of?

2) Does anyone know of any reputable rollbar fabricators that could build a rollbar to meet my requirement for road and hillclimb use?

I am based in Milton Keynes but location isnt an issue, I just want to get the cage built and delivered so that we can complete the currently stalled rebuild project so that we can have some fun!

Thanks
Mick

You could try Caged, but;
a) It isn't rocket science. Any company with suitable tube bending equipment and welding gear can knock up something adequate and;
b) There is a lot of unneccessary paranoia about roll protection. It is incredibly difficult to roll a 'Seven' type car and if you do so on a public road, the laws of Darwinism demand that you die to help protect the gene pool. If there was a major risk to safety from rollover accidents in convertibles, the MX5 wouldn't be the best selling sports car of all time.

I've got a Phoenix roll bar you can have free, if you pay the postage, but I live in Malysia, (may not be to much sea freight I can check for you if you want).
It has come of my car as I have had a full cage put in, is a real JP built bar with 4 mounting points cross bar and mounting plate for the head rests, it is powder coated yellow and in great condition, but as the nearest Sylva to me is 800 miles away I am unlikly to get any money for it.
I am away at the moment so can not get a price to post for at least two weeks, and it will take at least 6 weeks to arrive by sea.

You could also try Border engineering in Luton, I use chasestead in letchworth, but thats for more complex curves. Or even Hauser racing on the far side of northampton, or if you want to give it ago yourself I've a 16 tone tube bender you can use FOC. I'm also in MK
