Searching for a Spartan

Hi all. I am trying to track down a particular Triumph-based Spartan. My dad built it before I was born and was always sad about having to sell it to buy a more suitable 'family' car once my brother arrived! Ever since I can remember he has always talked about tracking it down in the hope of getting it back at some point. His 60th birthday is coming up so I'm on a mission to find out if that might be possible.
I don't really know how to go about finding it, to be honest. I know it's still registered in the UK with the DVLA, so that's a start.
The registration is MOH 55F and it's red.
I'd really appreciate it if anyone has any advice or indeed knows of the car or someone/somewhere else I could contact.
