Well I'm really torn between two cars for my next toy.

My wife hated the Tuscan 2 so I thought I'd try something else with a less harsh ride, great for the good weather and still okay when the weather changes.

We've still got sensible cars for the snow etc.

I want something for fun use, the odd tour and the odd commute.

I like the 7 style but think that we really want a bit more comfort, hence the two options.

There's a lovely purple Sebring at Sovereign Cars at £15,995 and a really lovely Cobra at Total Head Turners.

Personally, I prefer the looks of the Cobra but suspect that the windows in the Sebring are better for the wet days. I think that the Cobra windows are flexible plastic type strips.

The Cobra has a 3.5 V8 and the Sebring a 3.9 V8.

Any thoughts or advice would be very welcome!

Should I be thinking of soemthing completely different? My budget is up to £20k and I'm trying to avoid heavy maintenance costs.

That's grossly unfair.

... At least two of the three kits I've owned were better built than my TVR. hehe

But if you want a two seat, Rover V8 engined roadster with good weather gear, decent practicality and affordable Ford running gear then they're the obvious choice. Personally, although I love kits, I wouldn't go for a replica-type car unless it was very close to the original. A Griffmaera has basically the same brawny appeal as a Cobra with its own individual identity too.
