My new quantum coupe

Just recently bought a quantum coupe built in 1987 with xr2 engine and running gear. Bought of ebay for £435 bargin annd insurance also a bargin at £735. There were only 17 made and only 15 left as the first 2 were written of by quantum themself as the 2 were deamed to be unsafe after extensive modifications. I got number Q009. Managed to spend nothing on getting it through the mot great result and am currently in the process of updating it and modifying it.

Since then ive replaced the o/s/f wheel bearing that had collapsed due to the hub flanged being worn so replaced that too. Timing belt and water pump replaced and fitted a cd player and some basic speakers for the time being. Future plans are to renew the inerior, respray it in the darkest red i can get and if i can find a rs turbo fiesta engine then will fit one in.
Got a week off in a week so interior is my next step.

The coupe was the first car from quantum but only made 17 but there are more of the 2+2 and saloon around. Out of the 17 the first 2 were written off by quantum as they thought they were not roadworthy after several modifications to them. I think number 3 and 17 are in the hands of the owners club who are restoring them they have all bar 2 coupes accounted for i believe.

Plenty of the saloons and 2+2 convertibles, but the Coupe is a rare car.From what I remember and the pictures on here, is it just the rear hatch and maybe the lights, or is there a lot more to it than that?
Update of work so far removed the door cards which where rotten so made some new door card up
n/s door card all made up apart from fitting of door handle and without covering of leather
o/s door card all done apart form covering it
Also painted the rocker cover and air box which turned out really nice
Painted headlight surounds
Also sealed up a couple of leaks from the sunroof and the door also the rear hatch was pissing water in to so i am currently building up a new rain chanel as the previous owner had cut some of it away
some progress on the new rain chanel
Also fitted a new cd player, fitted a cut of switch for the fuel pump so when the cars parked up i can cut the fuel so nobody can nick the vehicle as it not that hard to steal.
Next step is to recover the seats in black and red fit new red carpet and cover the new door cards in black leather and finish of the rain chanel.
