As you go past the 150 mph you will hear a scream. It will be yours!

On a serious note well done indeed. As others have said what an neat car.

Should be an absolute flyer and the Smart car base is certainly capable of more power.

Pictures and build details would be great.

You could be starting a trend.

I took it out on its maiden voyage last week end and ended up on the roads around the Snake Pass and then over to Oulton Park I had some interesting exchanges with a few Super bikes, its geared to 145 mph which is too fast, the steering feels really light at 130 mph so I am gearing down on sprockets being made as I type this reply, I want it to rev out at just over 100mph this will give it terrific acceleration, re pics having trouble uploading so I have put one on my profile pic'

Don't think it was yours I happened across on Sunday (I was in a noisy yellow thing)? But if it was, hello again... if not, then there were two 300bhp+ blue Smart cars roaming Cheshire last weekend. eek

My car is in being corner weighted at present - first time this place has done it for me, but more than happy to let you know they are once I know how good a job they've done.

PS - until last weekend I'd never seen one of those... been looking at bloody z-cars all week as a result - something understated but loopy quick is really very appealing.

Aye, that was me. Was just out for what was meant to be a leisurely run, hence no helmet for once, which was a shame (yours does throw up a few stones at that height!).

Definitely a great toy you have there, certainly caught me by surprise as don't often come across much with similar pwr/weight ratios (in fact, I can't remember the last time I got overtaken on that road), and yes was grinning about it for some time thereafter.

BTW, any plans to get down to Oulton at any point? Would really like to see how it goes round there. Can imagine it surprising quite a bit.

Will PM you the details of the place I'm using for corner weighting.

That is not a good road to test on, quite bumpy even when positioned in the middle of the road.

Hey Softop thanks for that I agree it is a bit bumpy when you reach 60mph do you know of another quiet road in that area?
