Steve from FurySportsCars saved my life...
Discussion
I don’t often write in here, but I am great believer in praising those who dig you out of the poopoo...
I’m based in Devon, and have been sprinting my fury for a couple of years now. One of the best know event this way is StEval in Newquay which very sadly will run for the very last time this weekend due to a MOD sell off of the land.
This was the first place I sprinted, and certainly from my side the most loved.
As you would expect then it’s a cased of lets go out in style, and as a result the last month has been spent getting everything ready in a desperate attempt to beat my 120.06 second best.
New baffled sump (was showing oil starvation problems). New rear wheels and tyres + wheel arch extension to fit (supplied by furysports cars)...and it goes on.
In short the last month has been on and off the phone to Steve at FurySports cars, and he has been 100% brilliant in his support and help. (It gets better)
By Sunday the car was looking set, until a quick road run resulted in a catastrophic bang and 1 half shaft stapped clean in half....
Back to Steve for help again!
Long story short after a lot of measuring, and calls to Steve he managed to beg borrow and steal a shaft, and after a call from him at 9am Tuesday morning to say the courier had collected it, and it would be with me on Wednesday.. I was feeling a lot happier.
It’s now in, ran and looking good for the weekend.....Major panic over.
It’s been one of those weeks, (I even ran an old lady over on Tuesday, but she is Ok now), so it is amazing how a little help can go a long way when you’re in the s
t.
All I can say is anyone who is thinking of buying a fury please speak to Steve.
Its help like this that reminds me why I love the kit car industry.
Cheers
Lee

Its nice to hear a good word about someone who goes above and beyond to help someone out. I've met Steve a few times as I am local to Fury sportscars and used to bump into Steve during the Fisher days, such a genuine lovely guy. I'm really pleased that the company is in his hands and if anyone deserves to succeed, Steve does.
All the best Steve.

Best of luck for the weekend, would be great to crack the 120 for the last event! Sadly we are off to Caerwent for a tarmac rally this weekend, so his first drive there is also his last.
Hi MrMike
Yes, that was me in the blue fury. Would love to see the video if possible.
I'm also glad to report that thanks to Steve the car ran excellently and 1.5 seconds was taken off my best time.
It was an amazing day at StEval, I couldnt have asked for a better result on the last sprint.
Cheers

1.5 seconds; you must be very happy with that
I was surprised at the relatively slow times being put in by some of the Westfields with 20XE engines, seems like the sort of circuit they should excel on.
I'll try to post the video this evening, depends on what time I get back from work. Unfortunately all the video I took on my camera has loads of wind noise, so the sound is pretty poor (I can see why there is a wind farm next door to the track!).
Very wet day for us up at Caerwent, and the Civics clutch plate literally disintegrated halfway through the final stage
