Just thought you might like to see what I've been doing to my MK Indy in the last 2 months?

Vinyl Wrap (entire car) and New "CSR Style" dashboard

Looks good but also looks lie a lot of weight for something thats just cosmetic.

Adi, the dash weighs 4kg. The one I took out weighed 2.5kg. So net increase 1.5kg. I have bigger poo's then that sir :-)

Heres the latest update:

So I set about putting the brightwork back on. Thats 66 nuts and bolts for both sides including the exhaust outlet. It took ages:


Here is the dash structure now powdercoated. It has toned it down as you can see:


............and with the inserts in place. I still have the steering column hole to cut and the rings to make up to bring the guages forward 5mm. But its off to the upholsterer on Monday:

Well the car is more or less finished. I have a couple of trim items to put on and its booked in for corner weighting, ride height, and geometry set up on Thursday then I just need to bed it all down.

If I were you I would set the basic geo and do 100 miles or so to bed it down before doing the proper settings otherwise you will just waste your money.

Steve, just for completeness, I had the car set up last Thursday and as part of the set up package it is booked back in in two weeks time (when I've covered a few hundred miles) for a reset once its settled down.
