Well after advice on here I've tried and tried to buy some black, lightweight, 15 x 6.5 ET 38 PCD 108 wheels, even varying the ET by 2 either side and I can't find any anywhere that fit the bill.

Im close to giving in. Can't get any Rota Slips anywhere, TD 1.2s all seem to be the wrong size. Sob!

Help.

Compomotive I believe will machine up a wheel for you in any offset / PCD. But most of their wheels are rally wheels, so quite heavy.

Image wheels might be your best bet, absolutely beautiful some of their designs and they can make almost anything, but quality costs....

Try contacting Compomotive direct for CXR's. Going to them direct is as cheap as you'll find elsewhere and the sevice was very good when I got mine. As Lee says all sizes/offsets available, but you might have a short wait if they aren't in stock while they machine your requirement.

My experience of them was not brilliant I have to say. Rims corroded within weeks of fitting. Rims were weak and when I sent them back for a rebuild (two needed doing) they fixed one and the other was sent back still buckled - confirmed by a tyre fitter at a track day when trying to balance them.

They are light, but the cost does not match the build quality or the finish. I may have been unlucky though, this was about 5 years ago.

I've been luckier - the wheels on my Westfield are by Image; they're very light (3.4 kilos; I don't know of any lighter rims on a road car) and have lasted since the car was built (in '99) and polish up nicely (though they're unlaquered, so they do oxidise and go dull if you don't polish them regularly).

To be fair, I know that the owner of one of the other two FW's in the country has recently buckled a rim on his car, but then if you're going for the ultimate in lightness, you have to be careful - the split rims used by Caterham on the early Superlights had a habit of failing altogether due to the centres cracking. yikes

Mine were OEM on a westy too - Megabird. It's long gone now but if I ever do another one I'll opt for Tial wheels I think as they're TuV approved and by all accounts are a much more robust wheel.

Im in exactly the same boat as the OP. Where can you get a 15" Rial wheel the same as the one above from?

Give fluke motorsport a call. They stock them but only westy sizes. They could probably help though.

I've decided on these:

http://www.revolution247.com/rota-slipstream-matt-...

do they work for you. Rota seem to have a huge selection. Otherwise get Compomotive MO5's. Although they're quite heavy they can be made up in pretty much any size/et/pcd combination.
