Anyone give me a suggestion for a gearshift cable manufacturer who can supply one-offs without hurting my pocket.

Have you tried Andy @ Ab Performance Ferg ?

Most of the Bec lads use a cable set up.

Do a search for Kongsberg Automotive (used to be teleflex) there are several franchisees throughout the UK who will use the system to produce a custom cable to your requirements.

If it's for the Libra - it was the BEST thing I did to mine.
I found some of the clips in the garage this weekend for securing the elise cables to their brackets.

I've had the shifter since I built the car, Paul, but have been putting it off until the replacement PG1 went in. This is happening now as the gasket is being sorted.

Are those to join an Elise shift to the Elise PG1 linkage, Roger? Remind me where you sat the shifter.

Here's how I did mine.
Shifter on top of the tunnel - high and forward.
I straightened the lever and the knob was level with the steering wheel rim, less than a hand span away.

Yes. Mine was fitted the same as Paul's

Have you still got access to TGTM? There is a long thread on there.

Find a local boat chandlers, they use the very same cables for the throttle controls and are a fraction of the cost

i got a 2m cable with M5 threaded ends for rodends for about £15/£20
