Been toying with the Idea of a Westfield or similar for a couple of months. Good friend of mine has a Caterham (Well out of my budget) and I fit in that no problem. Went to sit in another friends Westfield this morning (Narrow Body SE) And I couldn't even get my foot on the pedals properly as im too tall (Had to put them under the pedals just to get in). Im 6ft 2 and clearly have long legs but its thrown me a little as I now have no idea what to expect. I'm going to go and sit in a Wide Body as I believe they are 3" Longer and wider although the width wasn't the problem. My question is, Are the MK Indy's, Tigers or Pre Lit Westfields any different? Anyone here tall like me and own one of these?

Its thrown me a little as I didn't expect it at all given how easily I fit in a seven :/

Any help is much appreciated biggrin

Why not head along to Stoneleigh in a couple of weeks? Should be a few to look at there:

Thanks buddy, going to do my best to get over to that one. I've seen an MK & a tiger which caught my interest but I don't want to travel a decent distance to discover I don't fit again. frown

At 6"2 you would fit in a standard sized Haynes Roadster and if you wanted a little more room I could always build you a chassis that was 50-75mm longer, you can find me on ebay.

I go under talonmotorfabrication on ebay

Worth bearing in mind that the way some of these cars are built can mean that individual ones are more/less suitable for taller drivers. For example, Changing from seats with runners to those without, or lowering floor, or changing seat angle can all have an impact.

Try out a few but don't necessarily rule them out if it's merely "close" rather than obviously impossible! 6'2 in a SEiW Westie is definitely possible though.

I am 6ft 2" and fit in my SEIW Westfield ok. Had to lower the seats and push it back (seats are just shells anyway with no padding) but it is fine.

Where are you located as I am down the south coast near Portsmouth if you want to have a try? Am abroad until next sunday 22 April however!

My friends NB I had no chance! I'm not one to complain and can make myself fit normally but it was physically impossible. Widebody it is! Going to get along to stoneleigh assuming the weather is dry!

Thanks for the offer! Very much appreciated, unfortunately im not down your neck of the woods very often. Sometimes down at Goodwood but this is rare, usually only a couple of times a year and for the Festival Of Speed. Thanks anyhow and its nice to know I should be alright in a widebody. I'll try and find one more local If I don't make it to stoneleigh and see how it goes.

Thanks for all your help!
