Has anyone got one of their Healey reps? Are they any good? They look like reasonable value and sound good on paper... Any thoughts?

Just to kick off the discussion but with no real information except that I looked at this when deciding what car I wanted back in 2006 but, in the end, eventually chose the Pilgrim for 3 reasons, probably in descending order of importance:
1. cheaper
2. factory nearer to home
3. replica closer to original - I understand the Sebring is slightly larger than the original Healey but may well be an easier kit to build & better resourced, etc but have no knowledge of it apart from viewing them at shows. Pilgrim not available anymore!

The Sebring looks great... V8 options too... Can't see why they're not more popular on here tbh!

Always been a fan of the big Healeys. Love the shape. Agree with Rog, the Pilgrim/Haldane seemed to be a bit more authentic than the Sebrings - shame it's not around any more. It was a spaceframe too.

Sebring do several versions, there's one that looks pretty close to the original and the rest add widened wheel arches, beefed up chassis and allow you to use the V8s.

May be on my wishlist, someday - unless I can run to a real one!

They've got three ready built ones advertised on here and I'm quite tempted.

I'm afraid "the real one" wasn't within my reach plus I wanted a kit car to build. They say that mine is easier & better to drive than a real one especially the steering & I've had quite a few guys come up to me & say, "I used to have one of those" thinking it was a real one but, on the other hand, quite a few guys can spot a few differences.

Back to topic, visit Stoneleigh next weekend - there's bound to be a few there (usually a club presence) plus Sebring themselves.

Many thanks - that photo was taken on its first trip out; am planning on taking it to Stoneleigh (on Wessex Kit Car Club pitch) & happy to chat to anyone interested
