Has anyone got personal experience of building a Realm kit - C, D or XKSS? Is it practical for a DIYer, or better to have it built?

I built a Ram, Mr Cocking's previous company, Dtype and it's well within the capabilities of a reasonably competent DIY mechanic. If you want to buy one ready built you could go to Revival Motorsport near Mallory Park, same product with worthwhile modifications.

Thanks. I'll certainly check out Revival. I am really trying to build up the confidence to have a crack myself - always fancied buildng a car of some sort, and just love the XKSS. I think I'll have to go see Mr. Adrian during the summer when I'm back in the UK. Kick the tyres, as it were.

Good call on the Revival front - very interesting. They have a nice example on their Classic car page, and about on the money too. But even looking at that fine beasty, I can see several things that I would want to change immediately. It is really starting to make more and more sense to have a crack at it myself to make sure that it is exactly as I want it.

I am back in UK in July. I will make a point of getting down to Realm and see for myself.
