Will be there in my Sabre with a buddy who's just bought a half built Rocket. Any chance you can let him have a build manual Stuart?

Footy fans can watch the big screen b4 dancing the night away in the main banqueting suite, free admission to the entertainment. Paul Holmes will be delighting us with his superb vocal talents and keyboard extravaganza on Friday night and a full covers band and disco on the Sat night ensure a superb weekend.
Colin, see MEV owners forum for free downloads

It appeared many ales were quashed in the pavillion hall last night and i expect there will be a few exhibitors with thick heads. All in the name of a good weekend out tho.

Again the show seems lacking, I can't applaud complete kit car enough for what they do for the shows but they seem to be under supported. Newark lacking quality, a few stalls selling scrap and crap, not fully supported by all the manufactures, in fact it looks like only 40% of them.

The Razor was the highlight, the rest were just the same as normal. I was hoping to see Faroux there. Very quiet, very spread out and very empty. £10 to get in too which makes me feel like a mug for paying it.

First time I've been to any kit car show so I don't have anything to compare it to, but agree it seemed undersupported for a tenner entry. Still had a good few hours wandering around. I was most impressed with the GBS and MEV stands, lots of interesting bits to look at. It was good to see the MEV vehicles in the metal, not been so sure of them in photos but they are really good looking. Both my dad & I were impressed with the Atomic, very interesting layout and looks to be a lot of fun.

Indeed there were a few hangovers in the hall today, especially on the MEV stand! Sorry if anyone was trying to talk sense to me today, we had a great time, I hope everyone enjoyed it. Loved the camp fire gathering with the guitar man, sorry can't remember his name, after the hall had closed, I must get to my tent b4 3 am in the future though. Donny next, bring it on!!

We went yesterday and though the weather had kept the crowds and apparantly quite a few traders, away we were well happy. My buddy's just bought a third hand unfinished MEV Rocket and so we were on a shopping list hunt rather than actually buying stuff. Have to give Paul and Leighton on the MEV/RTR stand ten out of ten for their advice. even to the extent that they were telling us the cheapeast and easiest way to do things that meant we'd spend money with a competitor rather than them. Lovely helpful positive attitude, thanks for that chaps. And thanks too to the Rocket owners on the MEV owners stand outside for all their help and advice too. What a nice bunch these MEVites all are

Otherwise the weather really was rough and we didn't really want to mess around outside but because we came in a kit car could drive round the club stands rather than getting wet like the "normal" punters.

No discounts or deals to be done on the few trade stands that were there though and one trader I couldn't find was the chappie who was there last year selling cheap new aly rads and fans. Anyone know who he is or any contact details only I could do with a new rad.

So it's looking forward to Exeter? Not done that one, hope to this year weather depending of course since it's a bit of a trek so a weekend job rather than just a day out

Sorry, but what do you (and others) expect for £10????
Go to the seaside with the kids, £10 gone in a few minutes on icecream and drinks. Go to any National Trust property these days, £10 won't get you in, and lots of spacxe between exhibits (no cars either) - I know money is tight for us all, but £10 is a good deal! (even cheaper if you drive a kit car!!!

Despite the terrible weather on Saturday there was a much larger turnout of club cars than on Sunday(Quantum Owners Club had 22), GTM had over a dozen I think. The weather and economy has a big influence, but acting positive and supporting the shows also helps - If you turn up with your nice kit car that adds to the show, etc etc. Every attendee in a kit car adds to the show (I guess that's why the driver of a kit gets in for free!!. I'm not suggesting we should be anything but honest, but if we look for the positive, talk shows up, and be enthusiastic then newcomers will maybe attend - moaning that the attendance is low only makes it lower!!

only I could do with a new rad.
Have you thought about Pro-alloy for a rad, im in no way connected with them, but they built me a one off radiator, with built in oil cooler for the auto gearbox oil.

The engine runs SO much cooler, as does the gearbox.

British company, designed and built in britain, 10/10 from me.

As i said, im not connected to them, just pleased with the product and service.

I'd expect a fair bit more, i'm not taking my kids to the seaside, I'm paying £10 to look round a half empty show with 50% of stalls selling tat/crap/nifnaf and trivia.

At least if I spent £10 at the seaside I would have had an icecream and a drink smile

It was better value than the pageant of power the day before, which was an absolute joke. £30 quid and it seemed they couldn't organise a piss up in the proverbial. We were sent to 3 different gates then told to park in a field with waist high grass and we were supposed to be on a stand.

Newark by comparison seemed better organised and imagine quite a few people did give it a miss considering the recent weather.

Obviously I haven't seen the accounts, but I expect the organisers do so because (for a large part) they are exthusiasts - I suspect the profit isn't great and would have taken a big hit because of the weather. Ok you didn't get a an icecream and drink, but did you use any facilities, or cross your legs all day? - It all costs money to provide.

There wasn't any need to use any of the 'facilities' as there wasn't enough there to warrant staying for more than 90minutes.
