Greeting from Canada.
I am looking for anyone in Bristol, Avon. I am trying to track down a company called C.H. Automotive or Clayton Hamilton Automotive Designs. Back in the mid to late 90's they built a beautiful kit called a few things actually... CHAD4 or Cerity R.
Is there anyone out there that can help me at all. any info on this car? or its designer.

Apparently the guy who was doing this was ratted on by his business partner and the project stopped before it really got going.
Had a chat with him at the Stoneleigh kit car show maybe 2 or 3 years back and he said he was working on a revised version using BMW 3 Series parts, but not heard anything about it since.
Shame because it's a stunning looking car.

Cabby's about right. Can't remember the exact details, but partner did the dirty and effectively made it impossible for production to continue.
As I said, there were hopes to launch a revised version. Be nice if it happened.
Would pass on contact details if I had them, but sadly I don't.

Does anyone have any pictures of the car or any articles from magazines?
Sorry about the mis-understanding on ratting out. Over here in Canada the term usually means to expose something or in more simpler terms if a friend committed a crime and got away with it, and you went and told the police. you just ratted him out.
Anyway, I once recieved a nice information package on the CHAD 4. But have since lost it. I was hoping to work with whomever designed the car to relaunch it. Possibly as a full fledged production car.

I met the guy who designed this car, even thought about buying the Chad before I found the Nemesis(no contest).
He was trying to get a new car underway and was talking to Vince Wright about doing some work for him. I know he lives in Maldon Essex but I can't remember his name. Best bet would be to contact Vince Wright at RV Dynamics, I am sure he could give you some more info.
Maybe FastJen (on this forum) could help.

Just found this site, and I was interested to find my car being talked about..
I have the original Claydon (not Clayton) Hamilton Automotive Design, serial #001 built in 1996. It is still running, however the large number of pot holes in our lane makes it impossible to use regularly.
There are a couple of recent pictures of it at http://homepages.nildram.co.uk/~baker
I have been looking, without much success for other people with the same beautiful car. The full name is "Claydon Hamilton - Super Sport 4"
Cheers

Tony Claydon lives down the road from me and from what he told me it's a dead project due to the nasty happenings with his then business partner. He has been working on more projects recently and has just released the Piper which some may recogise from Stonleigh (next to the Ultima stand).
I will try to find the link to his site and post it up.

cant see the point in that personally. Nicely done for a kit but sooo close to a zx you might as well just fit a bodykit to one!
I'd have to agree. No way it is going to get close to the quality and performance of a second hand ZX300, Toyota Supra, Misubishi 3000GT, or whatever, for a sensible price.Gassing Station | Kit Cars | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
