motorcraft pipe and gromit..?
Discussion
Hi there, i have a tiger cat e1 and have a 2ltr pinto engine with single weber carb.
during a rip today it started to mis fire abit and when we arrived home i had abit of a poke around the engine bay and discovered a very loose pipe connecting to the carb with a totally knackered gromit the other end...? i have no idea what this is for, i have taken photos for any help,
the gromit has 'motorcraft 42592' written on it. i cant find this on google, the length of pipe is also quite perished so will change at the same time.
anyone know what this is and where i can buy a replacement?

i will upload more photos in a sec also showing the down pipe from the carb to the component in the background,
please help!

so the immediate above photos show the pipe end and the component it locates into which should be sealed with the gromit, when i touched it it just popped out, what is it?

Its was this one

Maybe it will fit.
Should be noted that the burtons pipe doesnt have the sprung valve in it - I dont know what affect this will have on your engine. Usual job is to route the breather to a catch tank and seal the carb pipe ( which you shouldnt do with the sprung valve)
