As the title really chaps.
Who offers the most comprehensive kit at a reasonable price?

Looking around the MNR Mazda kit seems very good value in terms of cost/contents.

Any other recommendations?

Total build budget would be £7-£8k.

MEV Exocet. Short of building a kit from scratch, there's not much cheaper that's worth building from what i've seen.

+1 you will be able to build and iva a good quality one for under 6k most are around the 4.5k to put on the road.

Mine will hopefully be on the road next springs not much left on mine but just having the time to do it.

Have a look at GKD fully comprehensive kits they are very complete kits.
