Looking at the listing, I'd say you will receive a bundle of wire and some fittings.

I don't know that a "universal" loom can exist simply because of the sheer variety of dimensions and fittings required - eg the plugs for head/tail-lights will vary from one manufacturer to another.

I used the loom from my donor car but chopped about 24" of cable out of the length, staggering all the joins, then changed individual fittings for lights etc as required.

Looks to me to be VW specific?

That does not look good barely more than some wire offcuts.

I have used a loom from Tiger racing on a number of different cars to good effect.

Loom £156

If you decide to go that route ping me a mail and I will send you a circuit diagram.

I bought a Painless loom from the US, it came with all the cables labeled individually for the whole length and the fuse box all laid out simply, the only slight snag I had was with the indicators flashing the brake lights but I solved this very easily by simply re-wiring where the flasher relay sends its um, well, flash !

Above all I found it excellent quality, cheap, simple, huge so I had lots spare to play with on other jobs.

Which could also make it rear engine specific.

The us stuff is made in the US out of decent quality materials, the UK stuff is likely to be made in China cheaply and shipped here for huge mark up.

I buy a lot of parts from the US now as the quality is better if you buy the right parts

I've spoken to Eddy99 this week about his looms, he is still doing them. He's currently waiting for some more parts, so turnaround is likely to be a few weeks.

Premier looms are still going - Alan is a top bloke, he is making a bespoke loom based on my spec for the Fiat

He has a good reputation on Locostbuilders

OP, assuming that your jeep is a Jago or similar ford based kit then i would suggest that a loom for a Ford based 7 would be an ideal starting point.

I bought a Premier loom at Sandown Park Kit car show back in 1999-ish, and it still works! driving
