Looking in the brake section it says........

service brake should be 60% of CLW or DGW
secondary brake 25% of CLW or DGW
parking brake 18% of CLW or DGW

What is CLW or DGW ? I'm guessing at the vehicle weight ?
Service brake ? Main brake system I'm guessing so what's secondary brake ?

I've just realised clw is curb laden weight and I'm guessing the other is the gross weight

Which manual section are you reading
You may be looking at comercial vehicles
It could be with reference to the split hydraulic system, in the case of one half of the master cylinder working on the rear drums only you may well get only 25% braking effort

Latest is 8.02 (Last time I looked).

If the vehicle does not have a secondary system the parking brake is regarded as the secondary. See RS3 and Note 9.

CLW is the figure the tester uses having weighed the vehicle (which is one reason you have to have a full tank of fuel) + a notional weight for ocupants.
DGW is the figure you submitted on your application and is on your VIN plate.

Cheers for that Steve, that clears it up.
One more thing,am I right in thinking the 60% minimum rule applies to both front and rear axles on a bias pedal arrangement ?
