I'm after some advise, I'm looking at buying an MK Indy rr kit but not sure what engine? Everything I read is about bike engines but I have an old love for the cosworth and know them well so I was thinking a cosworth engine??

Thoughts pease ?

MK Indy´s are well known for using mostly bike-engines, so i would recommend a differnt kit manufacturer more dealing into car-engined kits.

Pop over to locostbuilders, very active MK section on there, I've seen them with cossie turbo engines fitted amongst others.

I wouldnt do a turbo engine 7 again. Lots of heat management problems all the time.

If you do it. Keep it around 300bhp. Lots less hassle.

Lee what water temps are you seeing on road? And on track?

Water on road never goes 85.

Will go to 100 sometimes on track. Thats perfectly ok though.

"I don't have the logbook" and "registered as a 1.6 Dutton which isn't correct, the new owner will have to change this but the insurance is cheap" are the two bits that worry me most.... Insurance will be cheap until you run into the back of a new Bently and you then have to remortgage your house to pay for the damage!!! But at least he is being upfront and honest.

If its registered ( incorrectly) as a Dutton it will require an IVA test to change it
It's essentially a ringer
Walk away or totally rebuild and IVA
