Hi, I gather the Zetec SE (sigma) (light Fiesta engine not standard Zetec)
will go into the ford type 9 gearbox standard sierra/pinto bellhousing with some fettling, supposedly only one bolt hole doesnt line up, has anyone tried this?

looking to put Zetec Se into an old Amazon as I want a lightweight engine, i think the Zetec se is around 71kg

would like to run megajolt & bike carbs if anyone has done so on the SE engine would appreciate any feedback

cheers

I'm not sure if the SE variant has the type 9 bellhousing bolt pattern
The Zetec proper does
Megajolt is easy with any engine that already has a crank position sensor
Look on Autosportslabs forum for wiring
Bike carbs need a manifold made,
Simple throttle cable modifications
and generaly prefer a bike fuel pump

thanks lads

I know there are bellhousings available to buy, but you need a lot of bits to go with it, im trying to do it on a budget

I heard that the standard ford bellhousing matches on most dowels to the Zetec SE, some people have said it matches bar one hole, and others two holes match & rest 5mm out, another opinion was that a plate could be used to easily match them up, as im short of cash I was wondering about trying to fettle the ford bellhousing onto the SE if at all possible

just wondered if anyone has done this?
