Over at Abbeville yesterday for a Lotus on Track Trackday. Some nice bits of kit circulating including a McLaren MP4/12C !

And a more conventional view with my friend Andy Elcomb showboating for the passenger..

They are all HD videos so make sure you up the res. The Phoenix was the quickest thing out there all day (the McLaren was driven with 'respect').
Great fun.....car is way louder than I thought when you watch someone else driving it....you can actually feel the noise in your chest.

Combination of tyre deflect (high profile and low pressures), slight movement of the live axle and rotation of the axle on the suspension during corning I think. I assume it is normal as the car feels fine on track.
Mainly this (though it might be more accurate to describe it as rotation of the sprung mass on the suspension). Arthur Mallock used to call it 'stagecoach effect' and it is an unavoidable characteristic of beam axle suspension. That video clip does demonstrate it rather well! There will also be a small amount of lateral deflection due to the described arc of the Panhard rod on the Sylva as well, of course.
