Apologies if this has been covered before...but,

I need to fit new dampers on the rear of my Tigercat E1. These are front mini items and the car was fitted with standard oil filled ones.

I'm looking to upgrade to gas filled and preferable adjustable, so Spax, Gaz etc. However, I'm struggling to find details of the extended lengths for these. I can find the closed length for some but not the extended lengths.

I have fitted the rear raiser bushes in the turrets to lift the back end and correct the camber slightly. At rest the damper would be sitting at around 310mm. But it will need to extend to at least 340mm/350mm. I've been advised that some mini dampers will only go to 330mm.

Any experience of rear dampers for Tigercats?

Many thanks

not sure how deep the spacer is that you have fitted ?
i made my own spacers and also played around with longer springs to achieve the same - ie/ slightly more suspension travel......

i had protech mini shocks and with a spacer up to 15mm on mine ( 9 inch spring) they worked fine, i then tried a 10.5 inch spring ( with no spacer ) and for sure that was a bridge too far. soooo if yr spacer is 15mm or less then i can't see why any standard classic mini front wouldnt work......or just call protech as they will sell by open/closed length if you prefer to do it that way.

Thanks guys. I've had the tape measure out and spoken to Gaz who can supply made to measure for a reasonable price. Will give them a go.
