A little bird has told me that MEV have got 3 front covers all in the same month of the industry's leading magazines.

A Complete Kit Car (CKC) front cover with an article entitled the 'MEV Story' a 9 page feature covering the history of MEV, a Kit Car (KC) front cover with an article on the MEV designed tR1ke, also 9 pages as well as the Total Kit Car (TKC) front cover with a 5 page feature on the all new MEVSTER !!!!!

In the run up to the Stoneleigh Kit Car Show it's got to be the scoop of the year by MEV, and let's not forget the MEV Replicar and MEVster are to be unveiled at Stoneleigh as well!

It's great to see someone in the industry pushing forward in this time of doom and gloom recession, top marks for all at MEV, long live the Kit Car Industry.

Looks like there are several manufacturers with new releases at Stoneleigh - long may this trend continue!

I like the look of the classic Aston. They have come a long way from the days of the jelly mould back to front Range Rover thingy.

Let us not forget Road Track Race in the congratulations here. They manufacture not only the aforementioned tR1ke (Kit Car Magazine front cover this month) but also the MEV Rocket, Sonic7, Mevabusa and Atomic.

This means that there are currently no fewer than 8 MEV models currently on the market (MEV manufacture the Mevster, Exocet and Replicar) and not forgetting the little MEV designed Eco-Exo that is finding friends in the States as well as in the UK.

I would guess that having no fewer than nine of his designs in production makes our friend Mr Mills the most prolific designer of vehicles currently available.

As you say, a long way from the MEV 4x4 which as a mid-engined, mud-plugger was not without a good deal of merit itself.

I think the whole of the kit car community owe a great deal to both Stuart Mills and Jeremy Phillips for bringing quailty, consistency, innovation and a great deal of grin inducing, driving fun to an industry that is increasingly difficult to do business in (both economic and regulary). They can both be congratulated for knowing when to hand on thier work to those best placed to produce them and to concentrate on what they do best - developing great vehicles that can be built by us mortals.

Just look at the list of vehicles -

Stuart Mills - Replicar DBR1, Mevster, Mevabusa, MevX5 (+ superlight), Exocet, Sonic7, Rocket, Atomic, Misslie, TR1ke, Exo-eco, R2, R3, 4x4, eTrike

Jeremy Phillips - Star, Leader, Striker (+ Fulcrum derivative chassis, not bodywork), Phoenix, Fury, Stylus, Mojo, Jester, J15/MGF J15, J16/R1OT
