My MX5 is due for MOT and the sills are looking pretty scabby. I'm wavering over whether it's worth getting them repaired or going the whole hog and taking the sublime mechanicals out and reinstalling them in a nice shiney kit car body.

I'd appreciate any tips or experiences on what's out there. A Westfield is tempting, the Exocet doesn't appeal to me on looks but the MEV Replicar had me drooling.

If a Westfield is tempting, take a look at the robin hood zero. Same style, more affordable. Although from what I read, more of a challenge to build

One of the most popular MX5 7evens at the moment is the Roadrunner SR2, may be worth a look. MNR also do a version of their Vortex with an MX5 donor if you like the 7even look. Also there is the new GBS Zero MX at the more budget friendly end of the market.

There are also a couple of Ferrari 250 type body swaps (no need for IVA IIRC) and also a D Type if you are good with paint and filler (Tribute Automotive, have a look on ebay under kit cars)
