Hi
I've managed to get my hands on a mint Escort MK6 and wondered if there are any kits out there that can use this car as a donor
Ideally I’m looking for something that looks like a 7 but not too fussed
Thanks

Can't be certain but not as far as I know.

List of current donors here -

The most you would probably be able to use in a 7even is the engine (maybe worthwile assuming it is a zetec but not the 1.6 Zetec at thought). &evens are longitudinal engine/RWD where as the Escort is Transverse engine/FWD. The 1.8l and 2.0l Zetecs aren't bad but if it is after 1995 I think (need to check new IVA regs, 1995 was the old SVA cut off date IIRC) it will need a cat and injection, beware of using the stock ECU as some need all of the anti theft immobiliser stuff sorting including the key/ignition switch and a few other bits used from one car, there are ways around this by using older ECU but you will need matching throttle body, MAF and injection rail I think.

Alternative is to use the engine/gearbox in a transverse rear engine car like the Jeremy Philips Sylva J15/J16. But the new J16 with the MGF as a single donor would be easier/more economical.

Have to admit that the Escort Mk6 is probably not one of the best donor cars to choose, MX5, Beemer e36 3 Series (for 7evens/replicas) or Ford Focus (for MEV's) would have been better. Also, it is generally better to choose the kit you want and then source the donor/parts than the other way round. Hope these comments help.
