That's a pretty good copy and the disclaimer at the bottom of the page is worth a read/laugh. Wouldn't fancy taking it to Italy given their laws on "fakes". As the real Atom has a pretty good following/sales in the US I would expect some action to follow. Interesting they chose a "modern classic design" to copy and not the usual retro route.

Thanks for the post, interesting.

I believe only 6 changes have to be made to the design. As long as you don't sell it as or badge it as an Atom it should be ok.

The biggest threat is the cost of the legal action before it went to court. Large manufacturers have the money to scare people out of business even though they don't have a legal case.

There was a kit a couple of years ago that looked something approaching a X Bow and they pulled the plug after the threat of legal action.

The quality of it looks pretty good. It does seem an odd choice of car to replicate so closely.

I know this industry is based around replicas of Cobras and 7's, but that, frankly, is a total p1$$ take of an original design currently still offered by the original manufacturer ( I know Caterham can be described like that too, but NO 7-a-like apart from a Birkin would fool most... ) Hope they get it banned or do what other exo-skelatal manufacturers do and change it a LOT more.

Can't see it getting banned - if Fezza and Lambo can't stop the copies I doubt a company with considerably less resources can.
