Probably been asked before but does anyone know what the minimum measurement is for sump to floor namely so I can get the car on the brake rollers. I have seen IVA inspectors measure from crank to figure if it will go on the rollers.

As far as I'm aware there is no definition for ground clearance. Even if there were it would not help with respect to the brake rollers. The main issue with the rollers is wheel diameter. A car with 13" wheels will sink further into the rollers (and bottom out) where a 22" wheel will barely sink at all.

Reference the floor to crank measurement. It is my understanding they take this measurement (and others) as part of the calculation to establish the vehicle mass. It is something to do with the C of G. I've just had another look at the IVA manual but can see no reference to this so cannot confirm where the measurement is used. As you say all the cars I have put through have had these measurements taken.
