Any advice as this is my first kit car I realise this isnt the most desireble car but unfortunately until I win the lotto this is what I have to work with. I plan to keep it long term and rebuild it myselfe. Any one in the northeast area have a kit car/ vindicator or any advice that might help me on my way ?

I had a 3 lap demo at Blyton last year found it very much as other lower end 7 clones ,a bit bangy /crashy even compared to my RH but basicaly a good fun car, end result will be varied by dedication, skill and depth of pockets, quite fancied a van built on the 4 seater chassis sevan?

Well thats better feed back than I was exspecting as I have read some bad reports by other kit car owners but price is playing a big part in this potential car buying exsperiance !! I have seen the 4 seater version in another thread I'll try to post it for you.

I had one. They're pretty basic and the chassis's aren't the best. Don't fool yourself that the wet weather gear will be much cop. The company are still running (or at least they were a couple of years ago) but their helpfulness depends on the size of your cheque book.

All that said they're pretty good fun if you can get one at a reasonable price.

Thanks I think its readonably priced.. £1700 is what im looking to pay for the above red one any comments on the price ? As I feel its a good price.. but you may think other wise. The engine has just been overhauld with repcites to prove it. Just by looking at the pictures I can see its as water proof as a sponge :|

There are a number of threads on here discussion registration and the way the dvla have handled this over the years. In short, old kit cars used to be registered as the donor vehicle with something like "special" added to the model name. However, the current rules state that the declared make/model need to describe what the car is. So in your case check the log book say something like vindicator for the make and sprint for the model. If it says ford escort/cortina special steer clear as you may then have to put it though iva which I suspect it will not pass without a world of pain and expense. Also check the chassis number and engine number to make sure the v5 is correct.

Hope this helps.
