Going through a real hassle in trying to rewire the front end of our Fisher Fury. No wiring diagram, older repairs involving different coloured wiring etc.

So. given that the only reason for our ownership is for competing in Hillclimbs and Sprints, and is never driven after Sunset on public roads. Only covers about 100 miles per annum on public roads.

Looking at MOT regulations it seems that if lighting is fitted then it has to operate within the specified parameters.

However, if such lighting is Masked, inoperable, or removed then an advisory is issued and a valid MOT can be issued.

Can anyone out there competently advise if this is correct.

Please note the adjective " competently". Don't need opinions. But I know I'll get em! nono

Thanks .

You don't say if the car is already registered having passed IVA or SVA.

If you're competing in a road going catagory for sprints and hillclimbs then the lighting will have to be fitted and working.

Alternatively you could MSA log book it and enter non-road going.

Yes, the car is correctly registered as a Fisher Fury. No IVA requirement. We've had it for 4 years with no issues.

Regarding eligibility for Sprints , Hillclimbs.. Yes we run in A6 Roadgoing Sports. My understanding on this is that a current MOT and Insurance provides sufficient proof of legality for the class. No scrutineer has ever asked to see lighting operation. No windscreen or wiper either.

Any scrutineers out there?

Thanks again.
