has anyone swapped a crossflow for a Zetec e?

Basic Power: - 90 bhp
Weight: - 110kgs
Height: - 56cms
Length: - 51cms
Block: - Cast Iron
Head: - Cast Iron
Valves: - 8 Valves, Single Cam
2nd Hand: - £150 (approx)
Ease of fit: - Easy to fit as these are small engines
Ease to tune: - Easy as they are well established and also easy to work on for the DIY'er
Upgrades: - 135bhp= Kent 234 cam, gas flowed head, twin 40's, non vacuum distibutor. 145bhp= as before plus Kent 244 cam
Availability: - Easy to find but usually need full rebuild, cost for rebuild appox £850.00
Gearbox fit: - Standard 4 speed or Type 9 with 5 speed clutch, just bolts straight on
Overall: - Very Charasmatic engine which still performs well, still has classic appeal

Ease of fit: - Overall, easy to fit but you need to remove injection system and plenum chamber
Ease to tune: - Simple to tune with lots of bolt on bits available for DIY
Upgrades: - 160bhp= Just fit a pair of Twin 45's. 190bhp= as before plus fast road cam. 200bhp=Throttle bodies & cam
Availability: - Not as easy to find as the 1800's but they are about if you look hard enough
Gearbox fit: - Type 9 with new flywheel & clutch kit or MT75 from Sierra
Overall: - Loads of bits avalailable at good prices, Tuneable up to around 250bhp at a price though
I've got a zetec on jenvey throttle bodies and omex600 ecu, very nice motor !
