Hi all,

I wonder if anyone can help? I own a Westfield SEiW with a 2.0l Zetec engine from a 1996(ish) Mondeo and MT75 gearbox from a 1989 (or later) Sierra. Unfortunately the clutch fork is damaged and needs replacing and with this lovely weather we're enjoying at the moment its killing me having it off the road!

I've searched high and low but with no luck :-( Ford have discontinued the part so that's not an option and I seem to be drawing a blank on eBay, Google searching in general and Breakeryard.com amongst others banghead

The manufacturer part code is 88BB-7515-EE / FINIS number 165946

Do any of you knowledgeable folk have any suggestions for a potential source of parts for an MT75 box?

Thanks for reading

Simon

I assume you have tried westfield, mt75 was used in the transit so there may be a compatible part there.

This might be close http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BRAND-NEW-CLUTCH-RELEASE...

Hi Ugg,

Thanks for replying :-) I have searched on the Westfield website but the fork they have is for the type 9 gearbox (I think) so no good. I might try calling again tomorrow though to see if I can get hold of someone.

The eBay one looks promising (although I'm not sure about the bit on the end of the Transit one?) Certainly the best lead I've had in a while though so cheers, I'll check it out beer

No problem, the other place may be Mitchell Cotts who remanufacture the mt75 I think.

Thanks again, I've got their number now so will give them a shout if the Transit fork doesn't pan out. It looks possible that I could just buy that one on eBay and use the spring on it to replace the broken one on mine?

Good news! Thanks to Ugg's suggestion I ordered the Transit fork and the garage were able to use the spring to repair the existing fork smile

£19 later (plus a bit of labour of course wink) and I'm back on the road and enjoying the summer driving

Thank you so much for helping to end my misery - once again Pistonheads has the answer bow
