Dutton V6, suspension set up etc ?
Discussion
I see there a lot of folk on here that know a bit so here i am with this one.
I have fitted a Ford 2.9i V6 in the car with a 2.8i Capri axle, the back end will have 8x15 and 265 tyres, front 7x15 and 205 tyres, I am now the front end. I was going to fit a 19mm Cpai ARB inplace of the mk2 Escort one that was fitted to get the wider track but now i am thinking on removing the ARB altogether to fit a Burton power Compression strut kit to do away with the ARB and as i read gives better handling/set up etc.
This is going to to be a road car aswell maybe a track day car or the like, mainly road.
Any opinions on how to set up the front end ?
thanks guys n gals

ARB's on light cars usually cause the front end to be too stiff and give understeer.
I first thinned the anti- roll bar and it mad a difference

I then took the anti-roll bar off and fitted compression struts to an old monocoque Robin Hood, totally transformed the handling
I also dropped the spring poundage as they were known to be high.
