Hi all

I'm looking at getting a new seat for my TVR S series, and have been directed to look at the IntaTrim seat as they do narrow fitments.

I've never heard of this company, so would value any experiences people might be able to share. Are they of good quality etc, reasonably comfortable/supportive etc?

Any input is appreciated.

Thanks

Quinten

I've got these for my Westfield from Intatrim

Found the company pleasant to deal with for ordering, but then it took a good couple of weeks between order and delivery. Seems they still work in the old fashioned 'orders in a book' way, as at no point I received any updates until I finally called myself for an update.

Thanks for the feedback. I'm in no hurry, so that should be no problem.

They do look nice I must say. I have seen a couple of TVR Chimaeras with Odyssey II seats in which look good, so I think this may be the way I go.

If you are in no hurry, I found mine by visiting the Stoneleigh kit car show (may bank holiday weekend) where Intatrim had a bunch of seats so you can have a chat with them and try a few out for size.

Sadly I'm busy this bank holiday. I may just have a word and if the cost isn't too ruinous take a gamble as peoples responses seem to be pretty positive.

Can I ask roughly how much they are, as their website seems to be very cheap? - I suspect the prices may not be current.

They start off cheap, but then you start to add harness holes, (faux) leather trim, etc, etc and then by the time you're done they turned out to be £446 delivered (think it was something ridiculous like £40 or so for the delivery alone). A lot of money, but for me they were the only comfortable seats I could find. A lot of the other (cheaper) GRP offerings were too narrow in the hip section for me.

Fair enough, thanks for the answer.

Part of me is tempted to just change the drivers seat (my current one has me sliding out of it going round roundabouts!). I will be using the standard 3 point inertia real and vinyl is fine.

The current seat leather is fine and looks lovely - just not supportive and I'm planning on doing a few trackdays so a better seat would be good. However, low costs are good (although I fancy a TVR logo and the right colour vinyl at least) and I can always swap back for originality's sake if required.

It might also be worth contacting Interiors Seating.

Thanks again for the comments - just to be contrary, I may now have the chance to buy a pair of Elise seats on the cheap in need of some restoration (which I already have the kit to do), so may now be looking at going down that route.

I ordered two Gemini seats from IntaTrim back in 2008. The quality is excellent and the price was really good. If I remember well, I paid £295 for two seats (leather facings / vinyl backs) including shipping to France.

I wanted red seats and the company sent me a sample of every reference of red they had. I choose the reference and a few weeks later I got my seats. I also ordered 4 or 5 meters of vinyl to make the tonneau cover and all the trim around the cockpit.
