What alternator is this / make / model. Fits pinto engine
Discussion
To all those magic mechanics and DIY kit car legends..
What car is this alternator off of? I have searched for weeks but can't find an EXACT replacement.
It's for a tiger avon kit car where mm of clearance means I can't get a generic ford pinto alternator as its too big (have tried several)
To get it remanufactured is £65 + vat and postage and most alternators are much less on eBay so...
Does anyone have one in the garage spare, I would sinply like to replace like for like..
Anyone seen this type before??

TBH - it could be just about anything. Alternators don't have to match engines, they just have to produce the right output for the electrical load in the vehicle and fit into the available space.
Your photo doesn't help much either as it just shows the back with no markings or other clues. If you could post up any numbers or others IDs that would help a lot. Even a couple of other views and some dimensions would be better.
That said - Denso alternators are often smaller than others for the same output.
