Factory Five in the UK?

Hi All - wondering if someone can shed any light:

I've been doing some research into the Factory Five type 65 coupe - US kit based on the Shelby Le Mans cobras of the mid-sixties

Looks like there was a UK based agent up until a few years back - now they seem to use Hammink in the netherlands for european distribution.

Has anyone had experience of one of their kits? Seem to have a very active forum of build support and good reputation in the US - Would i be crazy to consider importing direct from the states?

I saw this on ebay: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/281740039478 - which got me looking into shipping costs, import duty, VAT, BTI application etc.

This isn't going to end well.... ;-)

any insights/knowledge or experience would be gratefully received!

Have a look at www.cobraclub.com and do a search. Factory Five have been discussed in depth many times.

What you may learn could put you off but at least you'll have the information.
