Interesting indeed.

Not sure about the claim to be the 'world's first production replica' of the 206, though:

Only 68k??

How many Hawk Stratos could you build for that money?

Cost of lister bell str fully built approx 45-50k

But if this car is to high build quality and spec then 68k may be reasonable?!
Certainly looks the part
Not so many nice midengined designs to choose from

Southern gt would be my current preference

It's a much simpler car than the Stratos.

£68K is taking the mickey, quite frankly, unless the spec includes a genuine Ferrari V6 and a Hewland or similar race transaxle.

...which may be the case, I suppose, since I'm struggling to think of any other 2.4 litre V6's that would fit the bill. Alfa is 2.5, 3.0 or 3.2 litre?

Website all looks a bit of a mess, though: one page says price on application and engine configuration/displacement TBC, but then they give a price list including engine specs on another page?!

So far as I can see, all they've really got so far is a scruffy, part-finished bodyshell (which looks as if it consists mainly of bits of one of their 247 Dino replica bodyshells, chopped up - note the indicator recesses on the nose!) and some pictures of genuine cars.

It makes MEV's 'Replicar' look like a finely crafted, toolroom recreation by comparison. biggrin

Well, that turns a £68K asking price from a joke into an insult.

t70 is a nice idea, but i feel this is now too far from the original design, especially the moda version.
whereas the gt40 replica is externally the same as an original, with 15 inch wheels, still looks the part

You could put 15" wheels with taller tyres on a T70 but that would need seriously smaller brakes and sacrifice grip. My T70 is on 17" fronts and 18" rears for better dynamics. I see many GT40s do similar. Each to his own..........
I would have liked to do a P4 so this Protopipo may be a future option - or a 904 - choices choices.

M&W 904 is very nice, but pricey. Rolling car without engine and box about 60k
