So what was new at Stoneleigh?
Discussion
Very disappointing show in that respect Mark. Can't think of anything that was entirely new.
GD had a stylised Cobra, the newly formed (from half of Fiero Factory) Venom cars had a prototype GTS version of their Viper replica and as far as I can remember that was pretty much it.
Oh yes - there was also a 5EXi with doors.

K1 Attack was rather nice,
Are they any closer to getting this kit sorted out? I see their website has been overhauled, but is the situation any less precarious? They don't even have a demonstrator yet (despite promising one over a year ago).
The car isn't even SVA approved yet!

Well from the replies, the only thing I missed was meeting fellow PHer's.So a meeting down the pub would have been just as good.
The only thing???
You are right though, there wasn't an enormous amount of new stuff although even for someone who had enough of Cobras in the late eighties that rather different one mentioned above was quite excellent!!
Otherwise it was quite like going down the pub, I drunk loads. Mind you I don't recall having to avoid so many tossers on mini-motos last time I was down the pub!!

As I've already posted on the other Stoneleigh thread, this finally has the green light and first RHD car should be ready for SVA in a matter of weeks.

You did miss a few PHer's !!, but nothing new that could grab your attention that much, apart from:
the Blackjack Zero, in my opinion a work of art in design details, and great threewheeler,
the mentioned Studio G Cobra 350, very nice looking,
the new Heritage Mini Marcos
and the restyling of the old Ginetta G27( I'm not sure I like it ..)
Maybe a few others that I've missed, but the general consensus is that there were no new impresive kits being presented, but a feeling of re-hashing older kits revamped for the occasion.
Positives of the show-Great weather and lots of people visiting
Negatives - no new kitcar presented.
In my opinion, new models are needed, but very few are investing in new cars( maybe too expensive...), in certain sense the kit industry seems on a holding patern, trying to survive with older kits, but no new exciting 21st century kit in the near future......

Not the way to get new blood in and more kits sold IMO.
