Kit Car Crisis
Discussion
Basically this guy decided to go racing in the RGB championship.
He went to Donnington last year to buy a kit.
The first choice (WLR) goes all wrong so he gets a Mission TS400 and then finds it is not as he had thought. ie. not just a case of fixing the bits together.
The build up was good too. He has no garage etc, so he builds a big shed in the back garden, then goes on to explain that when done he has to hire a crane to lift it over his house.
Well worth a watch.

There's a brief mention about it by dave walker in PPC mag this month. There's a photo of it running on the Dyno, so one things for sure - they got it built and started!
But then again, being british I dont suppose they will go in for all the "Oh No - A Crisis - will it be ready on time???!!!" hooks that they use on American Hotrod/Chopper, only to find out the next week that they forgot to fit sump plug or rotor arm - yawn....

If you check out the the RGB boards, you'll find that although it ran on the dyno, the suspension mounts snapped off during tuning and the chassis started to buckle during his test lap preventing him from competing.

Interesting - in the first episode the guy who made his chassis was saying that it could be done for almost nothing if you blagged your stock from scrap bins.....
..perhaps choosing to recycle those Dexion shelves wasn't such a smart move after all......
But it was kinda interesting to see someone finding out the real truth! Can't wait until the gets to the bodywork...

Ex-biker said:I did Mark. I have to say that some of the welding on those chassis brackets and wishbones compared quite badly against the Luego parts on Tom's current project......
So did anyone se it last night?
I get the feeling that the guy isn't fully prepared for the amount of work that building that thing is going to be. And no manual!!!!!
