Spotted locally, West Wales. Great looking thing, imo. It could probably do with a tidy up/repaint but overall looked good. No badges on it, any ideas as to what it is ?

Googling suggests its one of 17 cars built in South Wales in the early 80s

What mass production car are the doors taken from?

Well, I like it. Not pretty, but totally unique, and sounds good in the YT clip.

According to that German Wiki article- there was a 7 litre V8 option!!wobble

I do recall that it was presented as a Granada based kit car. Door glass frame, door handle and the mirror are definately Ford. Presumably a re-skinned door in the style of the Dutton Sierra.

When I saw 'Wales' I thought it might be something Clan-based but it clearly isn't - new one to me as I'd never even heard of Henson.

The rear lights do look very similar to MK1Granada/Consuls

What's the connection between Wales and Clan - or are you thinking of Gilbern ?

Saw a new one at some Kit Car show in the 80s.

Black, thought it looked quite cool back then.

I agree. Not classically pretty, but always thought it looked "right" somehow - purposeful, maybe.
