PORSCHE RSK CARRERA GT ???
Discussion
After seeing some of the pictures on this website:
www.rudolph-roadster.de
I thought it was a mix of a Porsche Carrera Gt meets an RS 60 or 718 rsk.
What do you think of the design and the modern audi sourced powerplant.
The price for the fully built car is 39 000 Euros, or about 25/27 000 Pounds!!! a little steep...

I like it. Fairly close to my own dream car.

In fact it's so close I'm wondering if I might just have found my bodyshell!
I'm not keen on the chassis though. Nothing bracing the top of the rear suspension except a ball jointed cross piece and two slender tubes going forwards. Same at the front. Ladder frames really don't need to be like this. Shame.
But the styling is nice and some of the other cars on that site are also interesting.

I agree with you, i still prefer the original, but I like the idea of an updated design of the rsk porsche.

I'm all for that too. If Porsche had kept more faithful to their original ethos of purity of design and light weight in the Boxster my a*s would firmly planted be in one right now. For me the Elise does it instead. I've driven the Boxster S and it's a very capable car, but the asthetics and feel of the damn thing just leaves you feeling.........empty?
Plus they've made the Cayenne now so I'll never forgive them!

I wonder, now they've commited to doing the Cayman, whether a 'GT3'-style version would be on the cards?

I couldn't agree more, I would very much like to see modern interpretations of porsche inspired kit cars. Lightweight, pared down, in the spirit of the Targa Florio RS's. The Lotus 7 inspired the Locost7 world and all the variations thereof, why not a Por7 ??
