One of the best issues this month ! The best mag on the shelf bar none ! I think I'm going to have to subscribe.

What a great move - Get David Vizard to write a proper article on modifying heads, I don't know why magazines haven't thought of this before - I hope there's more to come ! He's only just started. Great article too on 2CV racig by Dave Walker, looks a lot more fun (and harder) than I had thought.

PPC and Practical Classics are pretty much all I need. Not sure what's happening to Retro Cars, getting less technical and more chavvy. Kit Car seems to be stuck in the past, the article a few months ago on rebuilding a V8 was OK but there's plenty of scope for a follow up on tuning etc

Which Vizard book would be a good buy for more detailed reading ? (Maybe PPC ought to have a special offer on some next month ! )

Haven't seen this months one yet, but must agree it is a good read. I'm still waiting for that 27L SD1.

I bought the July issue as a mate has his car featured...and took out a sub after the first flick-through.

....I've been missing the old CCC and this fills the gap, and more.

Totally agree

CCC's demise was a real shame.

The combination of PPC and TRC are perfect for me now though.

Cheers, N

TRC looked interesting when it first came out but now seems to be a bit superficial, lots of pictures and big headlines but little substance. I admit I've not bought it in the last couple of months and I would have another look at it if things improved, it's still a good idea.
