Morning all,

Is anyone going to the elvington trackday on Sunday 25th September.

It's through javelin motorsport and it's £95.00 if anyone is interested.

If you are let me know and i'll meet up with you for a brew.

cheers.

Tim,

Nice one, i'll see you there then, I don't know if you'll remember?? I came to look at the dax that you were selling. i'm in leeds too.

So much for the car engines being as quick as the bikes. you gave in too did you?

I ended up with the dax rush with a hayabusa engine.

I'll be seeing you there, it should be a laugh if we are in similar cars, although that does look a lot more tricked up. I'm looking forward to seeing it.

Keith.

Hi Keith,

Sorry I'm terrible with names... are you the guy that was selling the Elise?

After crashing my cosworth engined race car back in June i've decided to go for a different driving experience... more revs less torque... we'll see if my considerable bulk slows it down too much to make it exciting!!

Looking forward to it, will book in to elvington next week when i get paid... looking forward to it already.

Tim

yep, that's the one, i ended up doing a part ex on the elise for this one.

had a few teething problems with it to start with, but I think that's just getting use to kit cars.

It's all running fine now, and i'm itching to get it on a track and see what it can do properly.

As far as bulk is concerned, I reckon that you should be ok because mine pulls just fine with 2 in and i'm not the smallest in the world.

have a good weekend and i'll be seeing you in a couple of weeks.

Hey Keith... just booked in for the 25th... don;t know if you've been to elvington before, so some advice for taking the rush..

Buy yourself a roll of wide masking tape and a roll of thick gaffer tap and tape up your rear arches and the front end of the car, the stone chips will eat dax rear wings in a morning... front end damage can be avoided by not following other cars too closely (not that easily avoided in a quick 7 type thing with loads of saloons about... you tend to catch them up pretty quick!!)

Anyway just thought i'd let you learn from my past experience, rather than trash your new car.

See you there.

Tim

Thanks for that tim, to be honest I had done elvington in my lotus before and it made a right mess of that too. I will get the car sorted out before I go up there, I'm looking for some spare wheels for the car at the moment, so I can put them on to trash on the track and keep my good ones for the road.
