I should be there both Saturday and Sunday in my Tiger. I'll be under the SWTOC banner in the club area so come and say hi

This is Donington's last chance, as we've been promised they've sorted out all the issues we raised last year. Fingers crossed it's a good one!

What was the problem with Donnington in previous years?? Was it purely to do with the camping facilities?

I've been to the last two, but I also only live an hour away so don't need to camp. Fair enough I have no other kit car shows to compare it with, but it seemed a good day out and certainly no worse than the mini shows I used to attend.

I'll be there on sunday only as I need to pick up some things for the build.

Very un-impressed with last year as we had been going in and out of the stands and show areas all day went to buy one last thing before leaving. A security gaurd asked us for our ticket which we were never given. We argued our case so he started pushing me and my Dad around and then called for backup.

So if it wasnt for the fact that I need some heavy parts and dont want to pay for postage I would not give them the time of day.

Its good to see the cars on track though

track been one of the probs, if it makes more noise than a hairdryer you don't get on. they have raised the limit this year i notice they where testing 98 static last year, did you notice how few cars where on track last year, we only got on by cheating with the rev counter in static test and free wheeling down the pit straight past the noise meter, i did fart once going down the straight and got black flag next lap though. A fair few manufacturers didnt get on track last year due too this too, all the 3 mk's failed 1st attempt 2 had passed sva and untouched silencers since the 3rd had a bog standard Audi 1800 engine and silencer fitted. you have been warned. Oh camping and toilets crap too.

Stupid thing is the 'fairground' in the centre of the circuit was far louder than any of the cars... even from the outside of the circuit. Not to mention the planes landing and taking off directly over the circuit.

What is the deal with track time do you simply turn up and pay on the gate or do you have to book in advance?

PaulB, the Tiger looks awesome. Makes we wish I hadn't eaten my veggies at school and my pies ever since or I'd be able to fit in it. Must keep saving to get myself a FatBoy Viento....

That is a stunner! I'll be looking out for it at Donny.

Did you build it yourself? How much did it cost?

Thanks for the comments guys! I did build it myself over about 15 months. It has a few trick bits to make it track focused. Webcon Alpha on a 2.0l Zetec Blacktop, Quaiffe straight cut box, six-pots upfront and Cossie rear brakes, bias adjust and full cage. It cost abouit £12-14k!!! I never do a final count

I have only done a couple of airfield days this year, Donni will be it's first time out at a proper circuit.
