??Newbie lost and confused??
Discussion
Hi everyone
I've just joined the site as it looked like a great place to start towards kit car ownership
This will be my first venture into the kit/classic roadster world. The car would be predominantly for sunny afternoon trips to the beach etc. I have about £8000 available but would obviously like to keep some of this back for repair work if needed. Myself and friends are fairly mechanically minded but weekends etc are precious (land rover requires most of my grease time) so little maintenance would be preferable. I am drawn towards several caterhams and westfields at the moment.
Any advise or words of wisdom would be greatly appreciated
Nick

Hi Nick,
Welcome to PH.
In your situation it's always worth getting along to a kit car show to have a look round the owners' club stands.
Not only a good way to find cars for sale but gives you chance to chat to some owners, who'll be the best people to tell you the good and bad points about their particular make and model.
Also gives you chance to try them out for size as some Seven type cars are short on room.
Don't know where you are, but there's a kit car show on at Donnington Park this weekend.
