Hi,

I'm planning on coming down to Stoneleigh with the idea of looking for a new car (specifically a GTM Libra), but am unsure as to which day is best or if both days are different. The reason I'm asking is that don't get Bank Holidays off from work unless I make the specific request and take a days holiday (the only one I've accrued at the moment), which I don't really want to do...

Any ideas or opinions?

Similarly, is there anywhere nearby which is dirt cheap to stay on the Saturday night? I had planned to camp, but it's a bit early in the season for the equipment I have so I might as well stay in a hotel somewhere (yes, I'm a wuss).

The last couple of years I've been, Sunday was teeming and Monday was quieter. Wrt hotels, I dont think you'll find much local if you've not booked yet. I always camp - it may be a bit wet if we're unlucky, but it's unlikely to be cold.

I stayed at one of those F1 or similar hotels adjacent to the Jaguar engineering facility up the A46 at Whitley. Just wish I could remember the name of the chain though....anyone? Basic but cheap enough.

I was just looking at hotels and there are a fair few north of Coventory for the right sort of money. The benefit I have at the moment is that we can stop 3/4 of the way in a hotel easily enough

Sunday been teeming is a concern, but in reality it's just something I'll have to deal with. I was more concerned about differences in content of the days...

You can turn up on Saturday afternoon (I've done for the past 4 years) and if you're sneeky you can wander round the halls which are blisfully empty of punters Can't imagine GTM turning you away if you're going to place an order You can then stay overnight and get in early on Sunday.

Oh and camp you big wuss (save's having to queue to get in on Sunday as you'll be inside the gates)

it's not just me camping, I would, but my dad is coming down with me

I'm not placing an order to buy - I'm looking to purchase a pre-built, SVA'd jobie and work from there More a question of budgets than desire at the moment - I can't think of anything more fun than to build my own car!

TEAM GTM will have a large display of GTM Libras and Spyders turning up on both day's of the show in the clubs area so do come over and visit us if you want to see a variety of differant spec cars and talk to the owners, (They are quite a friendly and knowledgable bunch really !)
