Hi,
It's been around 20 years since I last went to a Kit Car show which may have been at Stoneleigh, I built one of the first NG TF's. I'm thinking of returning this year to look at the GT 40 replicas and see how things have moved on. The problem is I don't like queues but can only go on the Sunday, so if I arrive early will I miss them and if so how early do I have to arrive.
Thanks
Nick

Hmmm... always a difficult decision to make is that!
I've usually found that on the Sunday, arriving around half an hour or so before the gates open has been fine..... hardly any queueing! (This was in 2002, 2003 and 2004 - I went on the Monday last year)
Bear in mind though, that I was in a "normal" car, and parking outside the gates rather than in a kit car and inside the compound.

Is it right that i might be able to get in free of charge if i go in the TVR? Ive heard a copule of guys on the tvr forum saying this?
Even if you have to pay at least there's a good chance you'll be able to park in the main showground rather than miles away outside in the car parks with all the boring stuff.
Thanks for finding the time to speak to me all that did! I thought it was a great show, I have to say, the weather held out enough and only tipped it down during the night. There were some interesting things to see in the halls too, although the trade stands were a bit limited. Unless you wanted garden tools or a badly made small motorcycle to piss everyone off with.

I couldn't help but feel that the place was too big for day trippers like me. Had a great day tho.
Even joined a certain other club
and made a certain gentleman an offer

RJH had a new car.....Mondeo based I think...mid engined convertible.
The 959 Speedster from RHE - is that the Zetec one you are referring to Ferg?
A 'Le Mans' styled, MR2 based prototype with central steering position - bright yellow thing - not seen any pictures posted of it yet.
Fun buggies had a new bike engined version of their buggy - used a Mini diff and looked good.
Tim Dutton was there with Mariner kits!
It was the head gasket on the 2B Ferg.....used around 25 litres of water to get home! Made it, just!
